Juno and Theia private beta

Beta data notice

Last updated 23 June 2026

Juno and Theia are both Sharp Insights products in private beta. This notice explains in plain language what happens to your data when you use either of them. It sits alongside our full Privacy Policy, which governs in case of conflict.

In short: your conversations, uploaded transcripts, experiments, and evidence packs are stored securely, processed by our AI providers so they can respond to you, and never used to train AI models or sold to third parties.

What we store

When you use Juno or Theia we store:

  • Your email address and authentication state (handled by our auth provider Clerk).
  • Your chat messages with the product, including anything you type or paste.
  • Any interview transcripts or notes you upload (Juno).
  • The structured outputs the products generate for you: problem hypotheses, customer profiles, market intelligence, interview guides, analysis reports (Juno); experiment cards, prototype copy, execution results, evidence portfolios (Theia).
  • Session metadata: timestamps, which stage you are in, progress markers.

Your conversation and session data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon.

Who processes your data

Our products run on a small set of trusted service providers. Each is bound by a data processing agreement to use your data only to deliver the Juno or Theia service to you. Not every provider is used on every feature.

  • Clerk: authentication and account management.
  • Neon: PostgreSQL database hosting for your sessions and outputs.
  • Anthropic: the Claude models behind some steps, under Anthropic's commercial API terms.
  • OpenRouter: routing to our other AI models and text embeddings, under a zero-data-retention arrangement.
  • Perplexity: live market research for the Juno Market Intelligence step.
  • Notion: internal session logging for our team to review and improve the products.
  • Netlify: frontend hosting.
  • Railway: backend hosting.
  • Resend: transactional email delivery (onboarding, analysis reports).
  • HubSpot: calendar bookings and the beta feedback survey.
  • Google: sign-in via Google OAuth, if you choose it.
  • Sentry: error and performance monitoring.

How AI providers handle your data

No AI model is trained on your data. How long a provider holds your data depends on the step:

  • Most of Juno's steps run through OpenRouter under a zero-data-retention arrangement. These providers do not store your inputs or outputs at all.
  • Some steps use Claude, through Anthropic's commercial API. Anthropic keeps your data for up to 30 days to run the service, then deletes it, and never uses it to train its models.
  • The market research step sends a focused research query to Perplexity, built from your inputs. It does not receive your full conversation or your uploaded notes.

This is separate from the data we hold ourselves. Your sessions and outputs are stored in our own database so you can come back to them, and are deleted when you ask us to or when the beta ends, as set out below.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not use your conversation data to train AI models.
  • We do not share your data with advertisers.

Interview transcripts and third-party data

When you upload interview transcripts to Juno, the people you interviewed have not signed our terms. You are responsible for handling that data in line with your own privacy notices to your interviewees. We recommend anonymising transcripts before upload where practical. The same applies to any third-party material you share with Theia, for example customer emails or pilot call notes.

Retention and deletion

During the beta we retain your data for as long as your account is active. We intend to delete or anonymise all beta user data by 30 September 2026 unless you agree to continue using Juno or Theia after the beta ends.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@sharpinsights.co.uk. We will complete deletion within 30 days.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data. See our full Privacy Policy for detail. To exercise any of these rights, email support@sharpinsights.co.uk.
